Monthly Mastery #22 10/2023
Purpose:
The Monthly Mastery studies are meant to sharpen your fundamentals.
Regardless of the medium you choose to complete the study, it will hone your skills in values, forms and your understanding of light.
Simple shapes helps develop precision and accuracy.
Directions:
In your chosen medium, establish what tones you will use to represent each of your shadows and lights.
Fill in the shapes with your corresponding value palette and colors.
Match both the shadows and lights color to your best ability.
Aim for full coverage, no canvas or paper showing through your layers.
Create all gradients and form shadows.
Create all reflections and highlights as you see them, to the best of your ability. (*they are subtle*)
Do not create any texture or details. Only clean solid shapes. Focus on crisp edges and good lines.
